Where are the rice growing areas in my country?


my country's rice planting areas are mainly in the south, and rice production is increasingly concentrated in advantageous areas. In recent years, my country's rice production has gradually concentrated in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and Heilongjiang rice producing areas. At present, the southern rice area accounts for about 94% of my country's rice sown area, of which the rice area in the Yangtze River Basin has accounted for 65.7% of the country's total, and the northern rice area accounts for about 6% of the country's. Taking 2005 as an example, the provinces with large rice sown area and output are Hunan, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Guangdong, Sichuan, Anhui, Jiangsu, Hubei, Zhejiang, Fujian, Yunnan, etc. 12 provinces (regions), their sown area and output It accounts for about 85% of the country. In terms of varieties, there are 13 provinces for early rice production, all of which are distributed in the south, among which Hunan, Guangxi, Jiangxi, Guangdong and other four provinces and regions accounted for more than 75 of the country’s sown area; mid-season rice and one-season rice production are distributed in excluding Guangdong, Hainan and Hainan. All parts of the country outside Qinghai, including Sichuan, Jiangsu, Heilongjiang, Anhui, Hubei, Yunnan, Hunan, Chongqing and other 8 provinces (cities) accounted for more than 70% of the country; late rice production is distributed in 15 provinces in the south, similar to the distribution of early rice .
China’s rice production can be roughly divided into two major rice regions: the Qinling and the Huaihe River, the main provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Basin, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and other provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, as well as Shaanxi and southern Henan are rice regions in southern China, where indica rice is the main planting, indica and japonica coexist; Beijing, Tianjin, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, central and northern Henan, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, central and northern Shaanxi, Ningxia, Gansu, Xinjiang and other provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions are rice regions in northern China, which basically grow japonica rice. The southern rice area is the main production area for rice production in China. From 2000 to 2005, Hunan, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Guangdong, Sichuan, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Hubei, which were among the top 8 in the country in terms of sown area, are all southern rice areas. 67.92% of the national total. Its output accounts for 68.02% of the national total.
(1) Planting distribution of indica rice At present, indica rice is mainly distributed in 16 provinces (cities, districts) in southern China, namely Hainan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Chongqing, Fujian, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shaanxi and Henan. Among them, Sichuan, Chongqing, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Guangdong, Fujian and Hainan are basically all indica rice. In terms of area, more than 87% of rice in Hubei, more than 70% in Anhui, more than 92% in Guizhou, and more than 75% in Henan are indica. About 65% of the rice in Zhejiang, 32% in Yunnan, and 17% in Jiangsu are indica. According to the statistics of indica rice production in various provinces and regions from 2000 to 2005, the four provinces of Hunan, Sichuan, Jiangxi and Hubei produced more than 50% of the country's indica rice.
(2) Planting and distribution of japonica rice Japonica rice is mainly distributed in the northeast japonica rice production area, the north China japonica rice production area, the northwest japonica rice production area, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River japonica rice production area and the Yunnan-Guizhou high latitude japonica rice production area in southwest China. Including the three provinces of Northeast China, Inner Mongolia, North China, Northwest (except Qinghai Overseas), Hubei, Anhui, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang and Yunnan provinces and cities.
